Cirrus breakfasts in Singapore and Hong Kong

Cirrus welcomes guests to two exclusive ‘Connecting Leaders’ breakfasts in Singapore and Hong Kong for senior leaders.

During the first week of June 2015 Cirrus hosted our first breakfasts in Singapore and Hong Kong.

In Singapore we were joined by special guest speaker Anton Zelcer, Global Head, MD Executive and Management Development at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore’s stunning Mandarin Oriental hotel.

In Hong Kong we were joined by special guest speaker Jacqueline Moyse, Head of Organisational Development at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. This event took place at the flagship Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

Guests were welcomed by Alison Tickner, MD of Cirrus in Asia-Pacific. Dr Simon Hayward, CEO of Cirrus, introduced his research into ‘Connected Leadership’ and our fascinating guest speakers shared their own personal insights.

“There was a fantastic atmosphere at both events,” says Alison. “Guests from a wide range of leading organisations enjoyed hearing about our research into Connected Leadership as well as hearing valuable insights from our guest speakers.”

Both Standard Chartered and Mandarin Oriental talked about the importance of creating more connected organisations. Standard Chartered focused on the power of purpose, linked to their ‘Here for Good’ brand promise. Mandarin Oriental also talked about the importance of a clear purpose and values to enable shared decision-making close to the customer at each hotel. Both Anton and Jacqueline shared some very practical examples of Connected Leadership in action which helped to bring the concept to life.

Guests told us that they enjoyed the combination of learning and networking and felt there were some very practical takeaways which they could apply to their own organisations. They found our Cirrus research insights “powerful” and “fascinating” and many told us that the concept of Connected Leadership resonates very strongly with their own desire to create more agile and customer-focused organisations where decision-making is shared more widely. There was a great deal of lively debate and interesting discussion around shared challenges.

Cirrus looks forward to holding more breakfast events across the Asia-Pacific region later this year. If you’d like to know more, please email us and we’ll keep you up to date with future plans.
