This very special event takes place from 4:30pm – 7.00pm on Thursday 21 September at Alderley Park Conference Centre in Cheshire. It is a great opportunity for business leaders to meet Lord Digby Jones, who has built on his own illustrious career in business and politics to become a crossbench peer and bestselling author. His latest book, Fixing Business: Making Profitable Business Work for The Good of All, was published earlier this year.
At this event, Lord Jones will draw on the core themes of this book, highlighting why profit is an important part of socially inclusive wealth creation to improve every aspect of our society. He calls on organisations to harness the power of their people to change the world and create vibrant and successful profit-yielding, tax-delivering, job-delivering businesses.
As a self-confessed, reluctant Brexiteer, and someone who has much experience of collaborating with the EU, Lord Jones will also offer guests his thoughts and opinions on what the future holds for the UK and its place in the world post-Brexit.
East Cheshire Hospice, which is hosting this event, is a warm and welcoming space for adults facing life limiting illness. Its number one priority is to provide care, comfort and compassionate support to patients and their loved ones. Cirrus CEO Dr Simon Hayward is a vice president of the hospice.
Following the briefing there will be a book signing and opportunity to network and enjoy refreshments with fellow guests.
